Hilary was born and raised in Northern California, now resides in Senoia, Georgia, with her husband, Andrew McUsic. Hilary holds undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degrees in Fine Arts and French, from the University of Nevada-Reno. She earned her Juris Doctorate degree in 2002. Hilary practiced law in the areas of property law and land use law until 2012. Thereafter, she transitioned into real estate brokering, joining Pacific Union Real Estate, later acquired by Compass Real Estate, specializing in luxury wine country properties in Napa Valley, California.
Hilary served her Napa community as director on the nonprofit boards of Family Service of North Bay, Napa Valley Arts Council, St. Helena Chamber of Commerce, and served as Board Vice-President of We Care Animal Rescue. Equally active in local government, Hilary served as Vice-Chairman of the Napa Bike and Trails Commission and Member of the Napa Traffic Advisory Committee. In addition, she was active in her local Napa Bar Association, serving as Secretary of Napa County Women Lawyers.
Since moving to Senoia, Georgia in 2022, Hilary has served as President and member of the Garden Club of Senoia, whereby under her leadership the Club undertook notable civic and historic garden restoration and development projects. Hilary serves at the pleasure of the Senoia Tree Commission, upon request. Hilary is a member of the Senoia United Methodist Church, where, along with a dedicated group of women, she tends the Church Rose Garden and the Church Mediation Garden.
Amongst Hilary’s core values are integrity, humility, dependability, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship. Hilary enjoys music, reading, gardening, forestry, hiking, swimming, tennis, golf, archery, equestrian activities, and in the winter months, skiing.
